MANZU
Mohamed Manzu Jimmy Rogers was born in Freetown Sierra Leone West Africa. At the age of three, his left leg was affected with the poliovirus and has been disabled since then. He started to develop a passion for music at an early age, and after completing high school, he formed a band called “Manzu Avec C-bolt”. With his unique voice and talent, the band became very successful and immediately after their first album was released in 2003, Manzu Avec C-bolt became a household name in Sierra Leone. He toured the United States, the United Kingdom and West Africa in 2004, 2005, 2006 and returned to Sierra Leone in April 2007. In 2011, he traveled to the U. S. where he currently base working on his solo album and disability foundation “Ability in Disability”.
